2008 Dongshin Road Rally

Road Rally 2008

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpGdxzCmbnI]

Yesterday we had the annual Dongshin Winter events. This winter we had the “2008 Dongshin Road-Rally”. This road rally basically just like a treasure hunt game or amazing race. The basic idea is that you are given clues and challenges that you must to solve and you need to go there and take pictures or videos to prove that you’ve solved the clue and complete the challenge. Each challenge has different difficulties, the higher the difficulties the higher points you can earn for the game. The group with the highest point will win the game. We have 3hours to complete as much clues and challenges all around Daegu city. here are the detail history and rules of the game:

Thanksgiving Part II

The day started like any other but with a twist, the expectation of a huge meal and the thought of why I should be thankful. As a New Zealander, I was thankful for this American tradition the opportunity to dine with friends. During the church service the girls did the decorating and created a great atmosphere in the cafe. Afterwards we went to the kitchen to get things going, and used these massive pots (about 50 cm diameters) to cook up the food.

Advent week III

What is advent?

  • It is the four-week period leading up to Christmas.
  • It is a time of preparation for the coming of the Christ Child.
  • The season is also a preparation for the Second Coming of Christ.

Psalm 146:5-7
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,
6 the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— the LORD, who remains faithful forever.
7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free,
8 the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
9 The LORD watches over the stranger, and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10 The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.

Choral Prayer-Please recite together

O King of David, Jesus Christ,
The gates of heaven open at your command,
Come and show us the way to salvation.
